What we do with our trash is different everywhere. But most people throw their trash away and the garbage man picks it up. This is what happens after the garbage man picks it up.
Landfill is a when the garbage man puts all your trash in a huge hole in the ground! This is a special hole designed so no trash leaks out. Here is a diagram of a landfill.

After layers and layers of clay and dirt are put into place the trash goes in between them. This is the best way to deal with huge amounts of trash.
The other way is to burn the trash. Don’t ever try this at home! It is dangerous to you and your family. It is especially dangerous to your pets! Harmful chemicals in the trash spread all over when you burn it.
Don’t burn trash!
The last way to get rid of trash is to recycle it. That is the best way! Do you recycle at home?
